If no Default Shipping Cost is configured, and no category-based shipping rule or shipping aggregator data exists, then no shipping cost will be applied to the order in Finzite.
This means the system will not allocate any fulfilment shipping expense to those orders, which may result in inflated profitability figures.
If your store charges customers for shipping, that revenue may still appear in your reports, but without a corresponding shipping cost configured, the true delivery expense will not be reflected in your Contribution calculations.
To ensure accurate profitability reporting, it is recommended to:
Set a Default Shipping Cost, or
Configure category-based shipping rules, or
Connect a shipping aggregator integration to pull actual courier costs.
This ensures that every order has an appropriate shipping cost allocated.
