You can update a user’s permissions at any time if you need to increase or restrict their access. This is useful when a team member’s role changes or when you want to control what they can view or manage within Finzite.
Only Subscription Administrators and Store Administrators have permission to change user roles.
To change a user’s permissions:
Navigate to Administration from the left-hand menu.
Click on Users to open the list of users with access to the store.
Find the user whose permissions you want to change.
Click the three dots (⋯) next to their name to open the options menu.
Select Roles and Permissions from the dropdown menu.
Choose the new role you want to assign:
Viewer – Can view reports and dashboards but cannot make changes.
Editor – Can view data and edit operational configurations such as COGS, shipping, and integrations.
Store Administrator – Has full access to manage store settings and user access.
Click Save to confirm the changes.
What happens after I change a user’s permissions?
The updated permissions take effect immediately. The user will automatically gain or lose access to features based on their new role.
If their access is reduced, they will no longer be able to view or manage restricted areas. If their access is increased, they will be able to use additional features right away.
You do not need to resend an invitation or ask the user to log in again.
